I consider it a privilege to be a part of the absolute miracle of pregnancy, birth and the development of families. It never ceases to amazing me how strong women are. My passion is to serve clients in a way they feel empowered through support and education in order that they can make decisions confidently and that are right for themselves and their families. I desire to provide safe, satisfying, and supportive experiences for those I partner with, for each will have their own unique journeys that they will remember for years to come.

I knew from a young age I had the goal of becoming a midwife with the encouragement of my mother, who saw it before I did as being a good fit for me. What set midwifery apart for me was the “normal” aspect of its focus, being considered a normal rhythm of life that didn’t have to be feared but rather embraced. Also the fact that I enjoy people and building trusting relationships with them, fit the continuity model well. No day is the same which brings it is own level of excitement to this profession.

After completing my registered nursing in Alberta and completing masters in Midwifery education in the USA and worked there for 5 years, I decided it was time to head back to home to Alberta where I could be closer to my six, full of life, nieces and nephews as well as my family.

Very excited to be apart of this active thriving community of midwives and women!
